We went on an Easter Monday walk with Jack. It is the first time this year we visited the Loch Ardinnig nature reserve. I love walking there but in winter it can be really really muddy. One year we lost the track at the back end of the walk, near the loch and ended up in the swamp, carrying smaller children from grass island to grass island.The nature reserve has such a variety of landscapes, it is Scotland on a small scale. Starting off at the loch side, you stroll through birch woods, then meander up a wide path to and over the moor, then back down towards the loch along a fast flowing brook. I was hoping to capture the awakening of nature but forgot to check the battery of my camera. I took this photo with my phone. Can you see the shadows of the clouds over the Campsies?
