screen-free days

In desperation, we've recently decided upon a new rewards rule.

Chore time = Screen time {computer, tv etc}

If one of the Goofballs spends 10 minutes cleaning their room or any other of the list of chores, they will be rewarded with 10 minutes screen time.

Of course, the danger is that you could end up with children that decide that it is worth sacrificing screen time if it means you don't have to lift a finger to help around the house.

This is what Mr Magoo, Missy Moo and Lucy decided:

Take the boxes used to store the Christmas tree.

Turn it into a car...

Double up.

Then spend the next half hour pretending you're a train and yelling out "CHOO, CHOO, chugga, chugga, chugga, chugga, CHOO, CHOO!!"

Hmmmm.

They later ALL had a water fight.

This involved highly organised strategies, defensive reinforcements by way of outdoor furniture.

JD claimed the higher ground in the cubby house and won the day.

I can't show you any photos as they were all half nude.

My house still looks like a tip.

It's going to be a loooooong summer holiday, methinks.
